Our Fun Weekend..
We had a terrific weekend with all of our youngens..
Friday night we went to Corner Bakery for some good, warm soup.. We all had a bowl and a Whoopie treat afterwards.. What's a Whoopie treat?? It is a chocolate pastry filled with buttercream icing.. The guys got peanut butter inside their treats.. After dinner we went to the movies to see "Where the Wild Things Are".. :) Id have to say that the author of the book is a tad bit weird.. It was a great movie, just had a funky storyline.. There were a couple of scenes where I would look over at Brant and he would be making a face and I knew what he meant by his look.. I felt the same way.. The best part about the movie was taking all of our youngens and having some good family time..
Saturday morning the guys got up early and went to hunt.. I love this time of year.. Not to be away from the boys, but just to have some extra one on one with my girls.. We got up pretty early too (my body will not let me sleep late anymore), played a little with Cooper, changed diapers and got dressed for some breakfast.. We headed out to the Waffle for some good grub.. After eating we went to wash and clean the car and to Walmart for some pine straw.. You know, the only good thing I miss about living over where we used too is the Farmers Market across the street.. I could basically walk to it.. Now I never really get to venture off in that direction.. Well after we got some errands run I took my girls and boy and we went.. We got a nice sized pumpkin and some pretty mums to go in our front yard.. That is my favorite part of Fall.. Decorating my house and keeping it nice and cozy for when the cold weather comes rolling in... :-)) That night Brant and I had a date night and went to dinner and a movie.. Pretty relaxing and uneventful if you tell me..
Sunday we kept Kenzie for my brother and his wife.. They both had to work :( bummer!! It was interesting getting four children ready for church!! But we got out the door just in time to hit the Church house to give praise to Our Father in Heaven.. It was a great sermon on how to be a true friend.. Chip even had you take your cell phone out in church to text the people in your life, who are truly your friends, to let them know how much you love and appreciate them.. My friends, this is a rare occasion for sure.. I didnt have my phone though :((.. I do not carry it into church, but Brant had his.. Abbey and I both got a text from him.. After church the guys went hunting again and we were off to the softball fields for practice.. I had a plain jane cake to make and we all got down in the floor to carve a pumpkin.. My kids had such a great time cleaning Mr Jack-O-latern out and putting a candle inside to watch him light up our sidewalk!! I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend like our family did!!
Have a Great Day.. Me at 9:18 AM
