Turkey Treats..

Okay.. So today Brandon has treats after his Thanksgiving lunch in the cafeteria so we were asked to bring a treat bag.. Well.. After giving it much thought and almost dumping trick or treat candy into Thanksgiving bags and sending them to school, I decided to be more thoughtful for my son.. I decided to use some of the 15 tubs of cookie dough that we had and ice them and draw turkeys on them!! How cute.. Brandon was at his daddy's house this week and I had called Dennis's wife Stephanie last week and let her know that Brandon needed some chocolate chip cookies for today.. By the way, the bags and and little tags in them were so cute!! So what I did was made it a Tues and Weds night project.. I baked the cookies (on Tues night) then took the chocolate icing and put that on them.. After letting those sit for a while I used Wilton white chocolate mints, melted them, added orange food coloring, put that in the clear frosting bags, used the #3 tip and drew a turkey on the cookies!! The picture above is where I got the idea, but I COULD NOT find the candy corn anywhere for the feathers so I just drew them.. Then on Weds night I got some clear saran wrap and some very small thin orange and brown ribbon and wrapped them up and tied them together!! I love baking.. Hobbies come in handy when you need them!! I took them to Brandon's school this morning and visited with he and Abbey for a while.. He loved his turkey cookies!! I cant wait for some Turkey and Dressing, and time with my family on Thanksgiving!!
