Busy Weekend!!!

Well... I had another girl weekend with Abbey.. I am so greatful for the time that she and I can share.. I know that one day she will be able to look back and say that she had some wonderful times with her momma!!

On Saturday, first of all we woke up to SNOW!! People in Mississippi know that it is rare that we see snow.. So like any ole Mississippi girl, I went nuts when I heard it was snowing.. Abbey and Brandon ran into our bedroom and shouted, "It's snowing outside!!" I immediately got up and ran into the living room and opened the front door.. I started video taping Abbey and Brandon running around with layers of clothes on playing in the snow.. It was great because Brandon had never seen snow before and he just sat there in sheer amazement.. He just stood outside and stared straight up at the sky.. It was priceless to see both of their reactions to the snow..

At about 1000, after the snow had worn off, I had cooked buscuits and tomato gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage.. Talk about a good ole southern breakfast!! Yum!! The guys finally decided that they were going to deer camp one last time to try to snatch them up a big ole daddy buck!! Good times for the boys.. That also left Abbey and I time to spend with one another.. When they left, I sat down and enjoyed the fire in my new recliner that we got last weekend.. Abbey sat with me and we watched the new Bratz movie together.. At about 100 we got dressed and headed to Cracker Barrel, where I ate the most amazing chicken and rice plate.. Thanks mom!! Have to give her the credit for introducing me to this plate.. It's addicting.. Abbey had the good ole sugar cured ham and green beans.. The boys sure did miss out on some good eatin!! So, Abbey has a thing for learning how to cook now.. She pretty much wants her hands in everything that I cook, and I let her simply because she is a girl and I want for her to carry on the things that I teach her.. We found this great kids cookbook while we were in cracker barrel.. After that, we went to see 27 dresses.. GREAT MOVIE for all you Katherine Heigel fans.. She is spectacular in that movie, and Abbey enjoyed it too!! After that we went shopping to find some good summer deals.. We had alot of luck with Abbey, Brandon and B's clothes.. But.... Ill wait until after I have this sweet little girl to go shop.. I do have a goal to get back to after I have her.. Anyway, I got off track.. We went home and pretty much vegged out on sunday after church.. Oh and by the way.. Brant and I got kicked off in another small group from church.. Wonderful people!! If you have a chance you need to visit a website called nooma.com.. We watched an 11 min movie last night during small group.. The name of the movie is -Name.. It is awesome!! It truly is.. I challenge you all to visit that site and watch what little they show of that video..
