What a Fabulous Getaway..

Brant and I had a great time this past weekend with our getaway to see Ron White in New Orleans.. He was hilarious.. Crude, Rude and a trip!! My cheeks ached hurt so bad after his performance, just from laughing uncontrollably!! Our last trip to New Orleans was fun too, but this one would leave us with LOADS of memories that we would NEVER forget.. ha.. So we head into the Cajun city, tickets in hand and directions to our hotel destination.. Surprisingly we made it there with little to no injury only after getting to the wrong hotel and get this, having to pay for parking when we were only there for about 10 mins.. It was like the Home Alone movie when the family is running through the airport luggage in hand, that is what Brant and I looked like trying to make it to the right hotel to change and grab some dinner before the show.. It really was priceless.. We laughed our butts off.. So we finally make it to our hotel, change and head off to get into the cab to go and chow down on some gumbo and raw oysters.. Delicious!! Make it to the show, laugh hysterically and then catch another cab to go and grab some beignets at Cafe Du Monde.. A sweet late night snack if I do say so.. By this time my heels were killing me and due to the fact that we hit our pillows at like 9 every night back at home my internal sleep alarm was seriously going off by 1030!! So we grabbed the next cab we saw and headed off for some needed shut eye.. Low and behold after breakfast the next morning we couldnt find the keys to my car, the only thing that we could think of was they fell out of Brant's pocket in one of the many cabs that we crawled in and out of on Friday night.. Soooo.. How to get home?? Finally we called PopALock and he had to make a key with a chip in it so that my car would crank.. After what seemed to be a long afternoon we finally got into the car and cranked up.. I wanted to stop by the Riverwalk and get some fudge and then we headed home.. With that said I got to the grocery store, and cleaned yesterday.. Addison made a mess of herself during the day

Nasty face!! We have to spray her down with the water hose after she eats!!

This cake was made for Benjamin for his 2nd birthday.. It is chocolate with cream cheese icing.. The firetruck, windows and fire were all made from fondant icing.. The road that the firetruck is sitting on was made from peppermint cocoa.. This cake turned out so stinking cute!! Happy birthday Benjamin..
